R&D Engineering Student Position

Mechanical Engineering Student (Part‑Time, 60%)- R&D Mechanics Team

This is a hands‑on part‑time opportunity to join a multidisciplinary R&D mechanical team and gain real‑world engineering experience alongside experienced engineers.

The role is ideal for technically oriented students who want to complement their studies with meaningful, practical work in a professional engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support R&D activities through the execution, setup, and documentation of engineering tests.
• Collect data, analyze results, and produce clear, structured test reports.
• Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly and integration of prototypes and sub‑assemblies.
• Take day‑to‑day responsibility for the mechanics lab, including tools, equipment, consumables, readiness, and basic maintenance.
• Provide logistics, purchasing, and order‑tracking support for R&D activities.
• Act as a point of contact for subcontractors and vendors regarding parts, services, and deliveries (under engineer guidance).
• Support mechanical engineers with hands‑on technical tasks as needed.
• Optional: Assist with mechanical design and documentation tasks using SolidWorks.

Must‑Have Qualifications

• Strong technical orientation with a hands‑on mindset.
• Ability to work in a structured R&D and laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly document work, including tests, results, and reports.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Availability for consistent part‑time work (60%).
• One of the following backgrounds:
• Engineering/science student
• Practical engineer / technician
• Previous hands‑on technical or engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Nice‑to‑Have)

• Mechanical engineering background or ongoing mechanical engineering studies – strong advantage.
• Experience in an R&D, laboratory, integration, or prototyping environment.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks – significant advantage.
• Experience with technical purchasing, logistics, or working with vendors.
• Experience supporting lab tests, mechanical integration, or hands‑on assembly work.
