About The Role

Shape and contribute to the vision of our Automation efforts for the platform. Play a central role in scaling Panorays by being at the forefront of product quality, enabling our development team to move fast while catching issues before they reach our clients. Continue growing our end-to-end test suite, expanding functional testing, and devising methodologies to validate data from both our distributed security assessment engine and the application itself. Bring your full-stack mindset to build robust, reliable testing solutions across the platform.

• Build testing solutions for our frontend/backend and contribute to our Playwright suite.
• Perform manual tests and then automate them, and integrate with our CI.
• Debug Typescript, perform root cause analysis of software failures.
• Help us build tools for developers to create automated tests and mentor them.
• Measure quality and delivery performance in R&D, lead improvement processes.
• Become an agile team member (our QA is a guild).
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, including developing automation infrastructure.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright and writing Automation coverage for frontend built on top of modern frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Python for automation scripting.
• Good understanding of Automation best practices, methodologies, and general coding principles - SOLID, DRY, clean code.
• Experience in creating seamless work processes between Manual QA and Automation functions.
• Strong customer service orientation - understand SLAs, be mindful of “internal customers” time (Dev).
• Be able to get up to speed with codebases and technologies quickly and independently.
• Optimization best practices - coverage vs runtime.
• Experience testing APIs, and creating/running automation tests for APIs, either by writing code or using tools like Postman.
• Ownership Mentality with a record of delivering production-quality, maintainable test code, and supporting features post-release through monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with DB (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Mongo) and data validation for thorough backend testing
  
  

• Knowledge of web development basics (HTML, CSS, etc).
• Project & roadmap management skills.
• Experience in writing CI pipelines (Codefresh, Argo Workflow, etc).
• Cybersecurity domain knowledge.
• Playwright advanced usage - Playwright MCP, Playwright CLI
• Strong understanding of product flows and UX.
• Experience in writing automation for non-functional aspects - performance testing/stress testing/chaos testing.
• Experience with leveraging Generative AI tools to accelerate quality-related tasks: test case creation, bug reporting, scripting/tooling, and more.
• Experience in working with agile practices.
• B.Sc in Computer Science / Software Engineering or relevant military experience.
