AI Engineer

A publicly traded Israeli defense technology company specializes in advanced AI and Computer Vision solutions for combat vehicles and unmanned aerial platforms.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location with immediate access to major train and light rail hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Production Engineering: Developing scalable Backend components and software infrastructures to support real-time Computer Vision pipelines.
• Model Deployment: Orchestrating the deployment of sophisticated AI models across diverse hardware platforms, including Edge and Cloud environments.
• Performance Optimization: Performing deep runtime optimization of AI models to ensure low-latency execution in mission-critical scenarios.
• Research-to-Product: Collaborating with elite AI and CV researchers to translate State-of-the-Art (SOTA) research into operational, field-ready products.
• System Integration: Working within a compact, high-influence engineering team to build robust software layers on Linux-based systems.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or alumni of an elite military technological unit – Mandatory.
• 5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering (Backend, Software, or ML Engineering) – Mandatory.
• 3 years of deep expertise in Python development – Mandatory.
• Proven experience working in Linux environments – Mandatory.
• Strong background in building scalable architectures and production-grade software.
• Ability to drive technical features from conceptual design to high-stakes deployment.
