About ChatBet

ChatBet is a conversational gaming and sports betting platform built on a modern Python stack with AWS at its core. We help operators turn chat interfaces like WhatsApp and Telegram into live betting and engagement channels.

We are looking for a senior, hands-on technical leader to take ownership of platform architecture, infrastructure, and engineering execution. This is a builder-operator role for someone who can go from high-level system decisions to debugging production issues when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the technical direction and day-to-day engineering execution of the platform

• Own and evolve backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and deployment workflows

• Manage and improve AWS operations, CI/CD, observability, and reliability across environments

• Oversee integrations with third-party services including sports data providers, gaming platforms, Meta, and Telegram

• Drive practical AI/LLM implementation across product features and internal tooling

• Work closely with founders to translate product and commercial priorities into technical delivery

• Help structure engineering processes, sprint planning, and technical prioritization

• Raise the bar on code quality, scalability, security, and production readiness

• Support and guide engineers while remaining deeply hands-on

What We’re Looking For

• Strong production experience building and operating backend systems in Python

• Deep AWS experience, including services such as ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Amplify, and SSM Parameter Store

• Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, and scalable backend architecture

• Good understanding of DynamoDB data modeling and Redis for caching / real-time workflows

• Hands-on ownership of CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions

• Experience managing multi-environment deployments across dev, staging, and production

• Experience integrating external APIs, including messaging platforms and third-party providers

• Practical experience working with LLMs in production environments

• Strong judgment, autonomy, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving startup

• Comfortable leading technically while still writing code and solving production issues directly

Nice to Have

• Experience in sports betting, gaming, casino, or regulated digital products

• Experience with Meta APIs, WhatsApp Business, Telegram bots, and real-time event-driven systems

• Familiarity with compliance, risk, and operational requirements in gaming environments
