🎯 Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and technology-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO TECH) to lead financial strategy, governance, and scaling initiatives. This role is critical in supporting high-growth, data-driven operations, fundraising, and global expansion.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial leadership with deep understanding of SaaS, data platforms, or AI-driven businesses, preferably within insurtech, fintech, or maritime sectors.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Leadership

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team
• Drive financial strategy aligned with company growth and product innovation
• Support CEO and Board in strategic planning, M&A, and expansion initiatives

Financial Management

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Develop scalable financial systems for a high-growth tech environment
• Manage cash flow, capital structure, and cost optimization

Technology & Data Finance

• Partner with product and engineering teams to align financial strategy with platform development
• Build financial models for SaaS, AI, and data-driven revenue streams
• Evaluate ROI on technology investments, data infrastructure, and innovation

Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Lead fundraising activities (VC, PE, strategic investors)
• Manage investor reporting and stakeholder communication
• Prepare the business for future exits or scaling opportunities

Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance frameworks
• Oversee audit, tax, and regulatory requirements (UK and international)
• Support risk modelling aligned with insurance and maritime operations

👤 Requirements

Experience

• Proven experience as CFO / Finance Director in tech, SaaS, Insurtech, or fintech
• Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups
• Strong exposure to fundraising, investor relations, and scaling businesses
• Experience with data-driven or AI-based business models (preferred)
• Maritime, insurance, or risk management exposure is a plus

Skills

• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management
• Experience implementing financial systems (ERP, BI tools, etc.)

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA / ACCA / CFA or equivalent preferred
