Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

A well-established, market-leading software company with a large and loyal customer base is seeking an experienced and highly capable Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead a significant technological transformation.

The company is currently executing a strategic modernization initiative, including architectural evolution, infrastructure upgrades, increased automation, and the development of new AI and data-driven products.

This is a key executive leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, with broad influence across both the technological and business domains of the organization.

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO
• Ensure the stability and reliability of a mission-critical, widely used product
• Balance innovation with the ongoing maintenance of a mature system
• Lead and scale a large R&D organization (~65 employees)
• Drive cross-organizational transformation across technology, processes, and structure

• Define and execute the company’s long-term technology strategy
• Lead development teams and establish best practices, methodologies, and quality standards
• Enhance system stability, scalability, and performance
• Drive cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with Product and R&D leadership
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI and data solutions
• Oversee architecture, infrastructure, and information security
• Engage directly with strategic customers to translate business needs into technical solutions

• Prior experience as a CTO – mandatory
• Background in a software company and/or ERP environment- mandatory
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering organizations (50+ employees)
• Strong expertise in complex, multi-tenant or enterprise-grade systems
• Demonstrated success in leading architectural transformations (e.g., monolith to microservices, DevOps adoption)
• Solid hands-on understanding of technologies such as .NET, React, Python, and SQL
• Strong business orientation and ability to partner closely with Product and customers
• Proven experience working with customers in the Israeli market – mandatory.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to lead and implement meaningful change

• Strong leadership presence, integrity, and interpersonal skills
