Role Description

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for sourcing, supplier development, commercial activities, and negotiations with global vendors.

This role serves as a key knowledge hub, combining strong commercial acumen with solid technical understanding of products, solutions, and business needs. Responsibilities begin with being the focal point for marketing cost evaluations in company RFQs and continue through vendor nomination and escalation management—often under time‑critical conditions and in remote locations.

The Strategic Buyer demonstrates a high level of product and production understanding, as well as proficiency in procurement and logistics operations.

Education and Experience

• Technical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in various technologies such as cold forming, turning, die‑cutting, casting, and machining – significant advantage.
• Ability to evaluate multiple alternatives in parallel, present options clearly, and recommend the most effective and value-driven solution.
• Relevant academic education – a significant advantage (Practical Engineer- Mechanical/ Electronics).
• Solid experience in procurement – required.
• Experience in a global purchasing environment – required.
• Experience in electronics procurement – a significant advantage.
