Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Efix Aviation develops hybrid-electric unmanned rotorcraft for long-range, heavy-lift missions. We're a small, focused team of aviation specialists moving fast from development into production. We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute directly to the development of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

Take part in the full product lifecycle, from early-stage concept development and engineering analysis through detailed design and DFM optimization and engineering support.

·      Design parts, assemblies and integrations

·      Documentation: specifications, tests and experiments design.

·      Prepare production files: drawings, assemblies, and work instructions.

·      Lead and manage sub-contractors and suppliers.

·      Support testing activities and ongoing product improvements in the field.

·      Work hands-on with hardware as well as in the CAD environment.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a passion-driven R&D mechanical engineer with excellent learning skills and a yearning to develop, who is a good team player and a professional leader.

·     B.Sc or higher degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.

·     At least 6 years of proven experience in mechanical design.

·     Expert in advanced mechanical design, materials and manufacturing technologies.

·     Hands-on assembly and testing mechanical systems.

·     Excellent SolidWorks skills.

·     Independent, fast learner with strong attention to details

·     Team player: excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate and seek guidance when necessary.

·     Ability to work in a dynamic environment - new challenges, time-critical projects, out-of-the-box thinking.

·     Full-time availability on-site in Kadima.

Advantages

·      Background in UAVs, robotics, vehicles, or other multidisciplinary systems

·      Experience with FEM/FEA methodology.

·      Experience working in a startup environment
