Head of Data – Egged Group | Member of the Information Systems Leadership Team

Leads and manages the DATA domain at the Egged Group and is a member of the Information Systems management team.

Egged is a complex organization with multiple systems and integrations. The role includes full responsibility for the organization's DATA strategy, building stable and high-quality infrastructures, developing advanced analytical solutions, user interfaces and Data Governance, leading cross-organizational projects, ensuring accessibility of business and operational data to the group’s management and business units, supporting managerial decision-making processes, and continuously improving organizational performance through advanced solutions.

• Define and lead the DATA strategy and architecture aligned with business objectives
• Manage a multidisciplinary team including System Analysts, Project Managers, Data Engineers, Front-End Developers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts
• Overall responsibility for enterprise DATA infrastructure and analytical capabilities
• Develop and implement dashboards, management reports, KPIs, and analytical outputs
• Work closely with group management, CEOs, EVPs, and business stakeholders
• Lead cross-organizational DATA and analytics projects, from requirements definition through production deployment
• Define standards, methodologies, and development procedures
• Manage Data Governance, including responsibility for data quality, reliability, and availability
• Manage external vendors and budgets
• Identify and implement new technologies in the DATA domain

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management / Computer Science / Information Systems / or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in Data / Analytics domains
• At least 5 years of experience managing a data team of 5 or more employees
• Previous senior leadership role in the Data field (Head of Data / CDO / Data Director)
• Proven experience leading complex data projects in large or multi-system organizations
• Experience with modern data technologies, especially Cloud, and deep understanding of enterprise data architecture
• Experience working with senior management, business stakeholders, and internal customers
• Strong business understanding and ability to translate business needs into technological solutions
