Software Engineering Team Lead

One of our clients, a global technology company operating in the digital media and video monetization space, is looking to hire an R&D Team Lead to lead a core backend team responsible for highly scalable monetization systems.

The company develops advanced video and advertising technology used by leading media organizations worldwide. Its platform enables publishers to maximize revenue across multiple channels including web, mobile applications, connected TV, and digital-out-of-home environments. The company combines large-scale video infrastructure with machine-learning-based optimization engines to support billions of transactions daily.

Role Overview

In this role, you will take full ownership of a critical ad-serving and monetization infrastructure layer that operates at extremely high scale and availability. You will lead a team of backend engineers while also being deeply involved in architectural decisions, system design, and the delivery of large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of backend engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
• Own the design, architecture, and delivery of highly scalable ad-serving and monetization systems.
• Manage infrastructure that supports 99% uptime and handles billions of daily transactions.
• Ensure engineering projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet production quality standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Business, and Operations teams.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle from system design to production deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong background in system architecture and distributed systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, including leading and developing engineering teams.
• Experience with Go (Golang), Typescript, React, Javascript
• Experience working with AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Redis and high-performance backend services.
• Proven experience building and maintaining high-scale systems in cloud environments.
• Ability to work across both cloud and on-premise architectures.
• Strong project management and delivery capabilities.

Advantages

Additional Details

• Hybrid work model (3 days in office / 2 days remote).
• Managing a team of approximately 4- 6 engineers.
