We are looking for a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead system performance research and optimization within our Digital Casting™ production platform.
This role sits at the core of our technology — translating metallurgy, process parameters, and system control into measurable mechanical performance, repeatability, and scalable production capability.
You will work hands-on with multidisciplinary systems involving materials, automation, sensors, AI-driven monitoring, and industrial equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
System Performance & Optimization
- Define detailed system and module-level performance requirements
- Lead multidisciplinary system performance and process optimization initiatives
- Develop and optimize process (recipe) setup parameters and tool parameters
- Drive measurable improvements in mechanical properties, repeatability, and yield
- Design and implement structured DOE plans for module and full-system validation
- Coordinate and execute system and module-level experiments
- Analyze experimental data and translate findings into actionable optimization paths
- Ensure rigorous documentation and reporting standards
- Define modules for process control within the Digital Casting™ platform
- Support integration between material behavior, automation, and monitoring systems
- Work closely with automation and algorithm teams to improve process stability
- Train application engineers and tool owners
- Contribute to system-related IP initiatives
- Present technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams
Education
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline
- 5+ years of experience working with complex multidisciplinary systems
- Experience in metal processing, casting, metallurgy, or heavy industrial systems
- Experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing — advantage
- Strong background in DOE and system performance optimization
- Strong analytical and data processing capabilities
- Deep understanding of material behavior (grey iron, ductile iron, steel alloys — advantage)
- Ability to connect microstructure, chemistry, and mechanical properties to process parameters
- Methodical, structured, and data-driven
- Strong communication skills in multicultural environments
- High learning agility
- Flexibility under technical and schedule constraints
- Proactive, positive attitude
