Cyber Security Engineer

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Cybersecurity Implementation

Role Overview:

Hands-on role responsible for operating and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity systems and network security infrastructure. The position includes incident response, security policy management and supporting security improvement projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain security systems such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, Firewall and NAC
• Manage and troubleshoot security incidents reported by the SOC
• Implement and enforce security policies according to ISO and NIST standards
• Perform system hardening and configuration management processes
• Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams
• Support security projects and implementation of new cybersecurity solutions
• Manage network security infrastructure and Cisco networking equipment

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity implementation or hands-on security systems management
• Strong experience with security platforms such as Check Point and Microsoft 365
• 3+ years of experience managing Cisco switches in production environments (VLANs, Trunking, Access Ports, EtherChannel, LACP, Radius)
• Experience with security products such as Trend Micro, PortNox, Fortinet, Check Point, Symantec SWG, Microsoft 365 and Zerto
• At least 2 years of experience working with SIEM platforms (QRadar, Splunk or Sentinel)
• 5+ years of experience with Windows, Linux, Active Directory and DNS environments
• Familiarity with routing protocols such as Static Routing and BGP
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nessus and PRTG
• Ability to write security procedures and reports
