Job Brief

As an experienced Software QA Engineer you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing manual and automated software tests across mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and cloud systems. The role ensures product quality through structured test planning, requirement verification, and comprehensive test coverage. The position contributes to risk management, design reviews, and change control processes, while maintaining verification documentation and collaborating closely with R&D, Product, Quality, and Clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and execute manual and automated tests.
• Plan and execute system, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and cloud systems.
• Identify, document, and drive resolution of defects.
• Review requirements and design documents to ensure clarity and testability.
• Create and maintain verification and test documentation (plans, protocols, reports, traceability).
• Participate in software risk management, design reviews, and change control processes (ECOs), including validation of risk controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and quality procedures.
• Work closely with R&D, Product, Quality, and Clinical teams.

Authorities

• Raise quality concerns that may block a release.
• Require clarification or improvement of requirements prior to validation.
• Escalate product risks to QA and project leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Have

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software QA.
• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS / Android).
• Experience testing backend systems and APIs.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience writing structured test documentation and reports.
• Experience working with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in Hebrew and English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in medical device or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or FDA software expectations.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
