Algorithms Tech Lead- AI Computer Vision

A fast-growing deep-tech company is looking for a Algorithms Tech Lead- AI Computer Vision

to take ownership of advanced vision capabilities used in real-world, production-grade systems.

This is a hands-on senior role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building highly accurate computer vision systems and leading complex algorithmic work from research through deployment.

The Role

• Design and develop advanced computer vision and AI-based algorithms
• Lead end-to-end algorithmic solutions: research, development, deployment, and optimization
• Work on object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection, classification, OCR, and measurement
• Optimize accuracy, robustness, latency, and scalability in production environments
• Build and maintain training and evaluation pipelines
• Act as the technical authority for vision-related challenges
• Mentor and guide other algorithm engineers
• Collaborate closely with software, systems, and customer-facing teams

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Computer Vision and algorithm development
• Proven experience designing and deploying AI-based visual inspection systems
• Strong background in accuracy-driven environments (defect detection, measurement, alignment, classification)
• Deep experience with AI and deep learning for vision (CNNs, Transformers, segmentation, detection)
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
• Strong Python skills; C++ is a strong advantage
• Solid foundation in classical image processing (geometry, calibration, filtering, morphology)
• Experience taking algorithms from research into production systems
• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership

Nice to Have

• Experience in industrial inspection domains (electronics, semiconductors, medical devices, manufacturing)
• Hands-on exposure to cameras, optics, lighting, and hardware-related constraints
• Experience with Edge AI, real-time systems, or MLOps
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
