AI Team Lead

The Mission

OpsFleet is a premier service provider specializing in DevOps, Data, and AI. As we scale our intelligence division, we are seeking a visionary and hands-on AI Team Lead to spearhead the architecture and delivery of our most complex agentic projects.

In this role, you will serve as a technical anchor for our AI solutions, working at the intersection of engineering excellence and strategic execution. You will thrive in zero-to-one environments, translating ambiguous requirements into sophisticated, multi-agent cognitive architectures while building the team that will power our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Orchestration: Own the high-level design and implementation of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS). You will be responsible for selecting and implementing the right patterns and frameworks to solve complex client problems.
• Team Growth & Recruitment: Play a pivotal role in the hiring and recruitment process, identifying top-tier talent to scale the AI Engineering division and ensuring a high bar for engineering culture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Data and the VP of Delivery to ensure seamless integration between data pipelines and agentic reasoning layers.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Lead and manage a team of ~ 15 AI Engineers. Foster an "Agentic Mindset" within the team, providing career guidance and ensuring the successful delivery of high-stakes projects.
• Advanced Memory & Context: Design sophisticated memory layers and context management strategies (User Preferences, Sliding Windows, Semantic Recall) to ensure agents provide coherent, long-term value.
• Safety & Evaluation: Oversee the definition and implementation of rigorous Agentic Evaluation requirements, ensuring all systems meet production-grade safety, trust, and performance benchmarks.

Requirements

• 7+ Years of Engineering Experience: Including at least 2+ years specifically in Gen AI / Agentic Systems.
• Software Design Excellence: 5+ years of Python experience with a focused background in Modular Architecture and clean code principles.
• Management Experience: Experience in a management role or a technical leadership role
• Agentic Pattern Expertise: Deep understanding of the modern AI landscape. You must be able to evaluate a problem and determine the optimal architectural pattern.
• Cloud-Native AI Infrastructure: Significant experience with AWS Bedrock and/or GCP Vertex AI, including their respective agent environments and foundation model offerings.
• Production Resiliency: Proven "battle scars" from deploying Agentic AI in production.
• AI-Enhanced Engineering Productivity: Experience operationalizing AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Multimodal System Architecture: Experience building systems capable of synthesizing information across text, audio, vision, and structured data sources.
• Customer Empathy: Experience in a service-provider or consulting environment, with the ability to navigate complex client requirements and technical stakeholder management.
