We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer to join the Autonomous Systems and Robotics Laboratory (CASR) at Tel-Hai University. This full-time, on-site position in Kiryat Shmona involves leading and contributing to R&D projects focused on autonomous systems and robotics. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing advanced robotic systems, conducting system simulations, collaborating on interdisciplinary research, and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals. The role also involves mentoring students and contributing to grant writing and procurement of research funding.

• Technical Expertise: Strong background in mechanical, electrical, software, or robotics engineering. Hands-on experience in building, testing, and debugging robotic systems.
• Software and Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB. Experience with robotics frameworks like ROS or similar platforms.
• Research and Innovation: Capable of conducting independent research, performing data analysis, and publishing in scientific journals. Experience in working on multidisciplinary projects is highly valued.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Comfortable working in an academic or research-oriented environment and mentoring students.
• Other Relevant Skills: Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and control systems is an advantage. A Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
