Senior Product Manager, Payroll

This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a global payroll platform used across more than 80 markets. As Senior Product Manager, Payroll, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, compliance, and product marketing to design and deliver solutions that streamline payroll processes and enhance user experience. You will leverage AI tools to optimize workflows, lead strategic product initiatives, and ensure alignment with business and customer needs. Success in this position requires deep expertise in payroll systems, strong technical acumen, and the ability to make informed decisions that balance customer impact with operational scalability. You will be instrumental in advancing key KPIs and driving innovation in a high-growth, fully remote, and globally distributed environment.

Accountabilities

• Lead product strategy and roadmap for payroll, driving initiatives that deliver scalable solutions across multiple international markets.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, operations, and other stakeholders to develop and launch high-impact payroll features and improvements.
• Translate complex customer and business requirements into actionable product plans and prototypes.
• Leverage AI and automation to optimize workflows, improve decision-making, and enhance team productivity.
• Track and analyze product performance, KPIs, and user feedback to ensure continued improvement and alignment with business goals.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll processes, systems, and HR workflows, providing guidance across the organization.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment on product initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a product manager in a multi-product, high-growth scale-up environment.
• Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Cursor and/or Claude Code, and the ability to build, debug, and ship functional prototypes.
• Deep understanding of payroll processes, HR functions, and payroll software systems.
• Experience launching AI-driven products or features is highly desirable.
• Data-driven decision-making and experience setting and tracking measurable goals.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
• Strong judgment in both strategic prioritization and tactical feature scoping.
• Business-level proficiency in English.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and able to operate independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
