Office & HR Generalist
The Office & HR Generalist is responsible for the effective management of day-to-day office operations in Israel while providing HR advisory and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
The role ensures the smooth running of office facilities, administrative services and workplace operations, while also providing core HR support to employees and management. Acting as a key point of contact for the Israel employees, the position works closely with UK HR, IT and Operations teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, support organisational processes, and deliver a positive employee experience.
The role also provides essential operational and administrative support to the research team, helping to facilitate efficient working practices and ensuring that employees have the resources, systems and guidance needed to perform effectively.
Key Accountabilities:
Office Operations & Facilities Management: Manage the daily operations of the Israel office to ensure a safe, efficient and well-functioning workplace.
- Liaise with the office management company regarding building services, maintenance and refurbishments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and workplace procedures.
- Oversee procurement and maintenance of office equipment, furniture, electronics and office supplies.
- Manage relationships with external vendors including facility suppliers, cellular providers and office service providers.
- Support legal processes relating to office lease agreements and contract renewals.
Administration & Operational Support: Manage office administration including post, courier services, business cards and meeting logistics.
- Maintain employee attendance logs and provide attendance information for payroll processing.
- Manage ID card issuance and office access coordination.
- Manage internal administration systems including purchase orders, expenses and supplier setup assistance.
- Coordinate office meetings, book meeting rooms and prepare meeting summaries when required.
- Provide training and guidance on internal operational systems and procedures.
- Act as a key contact for external organizations associated with the office.
Employee Support, Travel & Workplace Experience: Provide operational support to employees and researchers including procurement assistance and expense submission guidance.
- Coordinate domestic and international business travel arrangements and liaise with corporate travel platforms for FRE employees.
- Provide training to employees on travel and internal administrative systems.
- Manage weekly wellbeing supplies and office refreshments.
- Organise team meetings, company events, holiday celebrations and recognition initiatives.
- Support employee engagement activities including new joiner celebrations and team gatherings.
Human Resources Operations: Support & drive recruitment processes including candidate coordination, being part of the recruitment process, interview scheduling, and reference checks
- Participate in recruitment activities and candidate interviews where required.
- Manage onboarding processes and coordinate with HR, IT and relevant teams for new hires.
- Oversee employee offboarding processes and ensure compliance with company policies and local employment regulations.
- Support salary benchmarking processes and employee promotion cycles.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee benefit initiatives.
- Act as liaison between employees and payroll providers regarding payroll queries or updates.
Employee Development, Engagement & HR ComplianceSupport initiatives that promote employee engagement, development and motivation.
- Assist with the implementation of learning and development programmes and internal training platforms.
- Contribute to the development and localisation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with Israeli labour law.
- Plan and coordinate employee welfare initiatives and engagement programmes.
- Provide ongoing support to employees on welfare-related matters.
- Be the first point of contact for all HR queries
Professional Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Office Management, HR Operations or HR Advisory roles with 3-5 years of experience
- Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
- Familiarity with Israeli labour law and HR compliance practices.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using HR, travel, procurement or expense management systems.
- Previous experience in high-tech companies / corporate environments – an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent written and verbal English BA in Behavioural Sciences or a related field
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic international environment.
