Commercial and Technology Lawyer

Role Overview

The Lawyer will be responsible for advising on commercial and technology contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements, as well as addressing legal issues on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for a practical, business-oriented lawyer who understands how companies operate in reality and can provide clear, commercially grounded advice.

This is a high-responsibility, client-facing role with significant autonomy, requiring confidence in managing matters independently and interacting directly with clients.

The role supports UK-based clients and international clients operating under English law.

Role location: North West England (Manchester Office) or Israel (Tel Aviv Office)

Ideal Candidate Profile

Core Experience

• 4–7 years PQE
• Open to candidates from private practice or in-house, provided they bring a strong commercial mindset
• UK-qualified preferred; other common law jurisdictions acceptable
• Strong experience in:
• Commercial contracts (including SaaS, licensing, partnerships, outsourcing)
• Technology transactions
• Data protection (solid GDPR understanding required)
• Experience advising international / cross-border clients

• Highly organised, structured, and responsive
• Able to manage multiple matters efficiently
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to proactively manage matters end-to-end, including client relationships
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Nice to Have (Key Differentiators)

• CIPP/E or equivalent privacy certification
• Experience with:
• AI / emerging technologies
• Platform or SaaS businesses
• Intellectual property in a technology context
