Come define the look of the next generation of RTS. We are looking for a Concept Artist for Defcon Zero, our flagship strategy title. Its a gritty, high-fidelity RTS built on Unreal Engine 5.

We are looking for a talented Concept Artist to help define the visual identity of our world, focusing on the units and machinery that drive the game. You will be responsible for creating production-ready designs that bridge the gap between abstract gameplay ideas and high-end 3D execution, with a strong emphasis on functional realism.

What You Will Do

• Develop detailed concepts for both humanoid characters and complex mechanical units
• Create comprehensive production sheets including technical call-outs and functional breakdowns
• Focus on production-ready art that serves as a clear blueprint for the 3D modeling team
• Iterate on designs through the full pipeline from rough silhouettes to final polished concepts
• Translate gameplay requirements into high-end visual designs that fit the Defcon Zero universe
• Work closely with the Art Director and 3D artists to ensure visual consistency and technical feasibility
  
  

• Exceptional 2D illustration and concepting skills with a focus on functional design.
• Proven ability to design both organic characters and intricate hard-surface assets like vehicles and machinery.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a realistic or semi-realistic art style.
• Experience providing detailed call-outs and technical explanations for your designs to assist 3D production.
• Deep understanding of mechanical logic and how objects and machinery would function in the real world.
• Ability to maintain visual clarity and readability for units when viewed from gameplay perspectives

• A passion for the RTS genre and an understanding of its specific visual requirements.
