AI Security Research Engineer | Founding Team
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build the future of AI security!
We are looking for a Founding Security Research Engineer (AI) to join our core R&D team and help define the security foundations of autonomous AI systems.
This role combines security research and hands-on engineering. You will analyze how AI agents operate, identify potential attack vectors, and develop practical mechanisms that protect AI-driven systems from malicious or unintended behavior. As one of the first engineers in this domain, you will have significant influence on the architecture, research direction, and security capabilities of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop attack scenarios targeting autonomous AI agents, including goal manipulation, memory poisoning, and uncontrolled execution paths.
- Design and build real-time security guardrails that monitor and intercept potentially harmful agent actions such as API or tool calls before execution.
- Develop infrastructure and environments for continuous adversarial testing of AI agents.
- Build secure execution environments using containerization and isolation technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate research findings into production-ready security capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in offensive security, security research, or systems security engineering.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and security vulnerabilities.
- Experience developing security tools or frameworks that transition from research into real-world applications.
Technical Background
Experience working with several of the following programming languages:
Python, Go, Rust, Bash, C/C++, JavaScript / TypeScript, Java.
Familiarity with technologies such as:
- eBPF for kernel-level monitoring and system call interception
- WebAssembly (Wasm) environments
- Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Secure sandboxing technologies such as gVisor or Kata Containers
- Cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with AI agent orchestration frameworks such as:
LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Swarm, n8n, or Semantic Kernel.
