Senior Backend Engineer

Core Engineering Team – New Technology Division, KATA Group

We are building a new intelligent system from the ground up.

This is a core engineering role with real architectural ownership.

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to design and implement a production-grade, event-driven system that transforms unstructured data and complex relational context into a reliable operational state.

• Design and implement production-grade Python backend services

• Architect event-driven workflows and long-lived system state

• Model complex data relationships and ensure consistency across the system

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and end-to-end lineage

• Own correctness, reliability, and system integrity in production

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience

• Experience building and operating systems in large-scale production environments

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and state management

• Experience designing data models using relational and/or NoSQL databases

• High ownership mindset and ability to take responsibility for system outcomes

• Experience building AI/ML-powered systems in production

• Working with unstructured data, document processing, and data extraction (NLP, OCR, etc.)

•  Experience designing knowledge representations, knowledge-based systems, or relationship-rich data models

• Experience optimizing AI/ML systems for performance and cost efficiency
