Join Malam Systems’ Missile and Space Systems Division as a Mechanical Engineer for Electronic Boxes. You will lead the mechanical design and integration of advanced electronic systems from concept to production.

The position includes:

• Leading mechanical design projects for electronic boxes, including defining specifications, mechanical ICD, and cooling methods

• Mechanical design of PCBs and assemblies using IDF methodology

• Managing development projects from pricing to delivery, coordinating with subcontractors, and leading intermediate project reviews

• Reading technical drawings and analyzing dynamic, thermal, and strength reports, mechanical assembly, and managing hardware changes within projects

• Responsibility for product development and integration from requirements and pricing to prototype production and readiness for serial manufacturing

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design of electronic boxes (electronic assemblies)

• Master’s degree – advantage

• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 standards – advantage

• Knowledge of diverse manufacturing technologies including machining, casting, and sheet metal bending – advantage

• Experience in developing, writing, and controlling requirements for multidisciplinary systems – advantage

• Ability to write technical specifications and manage contractors – advantage

• Experience with RF component assemblies and antenna standards – advantage

• Experience with NX software – advantage

• Familiarity with NPI development processes
