C++ Developer

An Israeli-founded aerospace startup develops advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems for the global defense market.

The company, currently numbering approximately 120 employees, is in a significant growth phase, focusing on high-performance flight controllers and autonomous mission capabilities.

By integrating sophisticated hardware with low-level software optimization, the organization provides mission-critical aerial solutions for complex security environments.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime high-tech district) and operates a hybrid work model with one day remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Low-Level Development: Joining a specialized team of 3–4 engineers to develop core system components in C++ within a Linux environment.
• Kernel & BSP Engineering: Working directly with Linux kernels and Board Support Packages (BSPs) to optimize hardware-software interaction.
• Real-Time Systems: Designing and implementing low-latency software for RT (Real-Time) systems, ensuring flight stability and sensor accuracy.
• Containerized Environments: Utilizing Docker for consistent deployment and development across various hardware platforms.
• Video Streaming: Implementing and optimizing video streaming protocols to handle real-time aerial reconnaissance data (optional/advantage).

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in C++ development – Mandatory.
• Proven expertise in Linux environments – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in Low-Level development for Real-Time (RT) systems – Mandatory.
• Significant experience with Docker in an embedded or system-level context – Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, memory management, and hardware interfaces.
• Ability to work effectively within a small, high-impact R&D squad.
