System Architect

The Airborne Systems Division at ELTA Systems Ltd. is looking for a System Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and definition of computing architectures for airborne systems, including processing units, servers, storage systems, and communication components based on customer requirements.
• Support projects from early definition and specification phases through delivery and operational deployment, including participation in technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders (SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Perform system integration with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, communications, systems engineering, integration, and testing teams.
• Evaluate and compare alternative technological solutions and products.
• Conduct trade studies and engineering comparisons while balancing performance, cost, power consumption, weight, and complexity.
• Define and implement ruggedized computing solutions adapted for military and commercial environmental standards (DO-160)

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Systems Engineering – mandatory
• M.Sc. – advantage
• Strong understanding of hardware architectures, including processing, storage, and communication systems – mandatory
• At least 5 years of experience in the development or design of integrated computing systems, preferably in defense or airborne systems – mandatory
• Experience with distributed and centralized computing architectures – mandatory
• Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD, DO-160) – mandatory
• Strong system-level thinking, analytical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent Hebrew and English, written and spoken
