Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale the core systems powering the Carefam platform. Our backend services support messaging, scheduling, matching, workflow automation, and AI-driven interactions used by healthcare organizations and clinicians.

You’ll design and build production systems in Python, working on APIs, background workers, and event-driven services. The work includes building reliable processing pipelines, integrating ML systems into product workflows, and designing services that can scale with increasing data and automation.

You’ll collaborate closely with AI engineers, product managers, and business owners to ship features end-to-end.

About you

– Self-starter with an owner mindset who takes problems from concept to production

– Strong backend engineering skills with experience building production systems in Python

– Experience designing event-driven systems, queues, and background processing pipelines

– Experience building APIs that serve multiple client apps

– Comfortable working with data and ML-driven systems

– 5+ years of experience in software engineering

– BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent army/industry experience)
