Backend Team Leader

An Israeli-founded Cybersecurity and AI startup develops an orchestration platform that enables security teams to build and deploy hundreds of autonomous micro-agents for targeted security missions.

These agents handle diverse operations, including permission management, alert investigation, and vulnerability remediation, by communicating across a massive infrastructure of thousands of integrations and automation templates.

Currently utilized by some of the world's largest enterprise organizations, the company is scaling its R&D center following significant capital investment.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location near major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Technical Leadership: Managing a squad of three engineers while maintaining a 50% hands-on presence, reporting directly to the VP of R&D.
• Core Infrastructure: Leading the development of the platform's foundational infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for a high-scale SaaS environment.
• Distributed Systems: Architecting and implementing robust Microservices in Go, optimized for complex agentic workflows.
• Cloud & Observability: Overseeing cloud-native deployments using Kubernetes and Docker, while building comprehensive monitoring and observability tools.
• Scale & Performance: Tackling challenges related to high-throughput data processing and the orchestration of thousands of concurrent security agents.

Requirements:

• One year of professional experience as a Team Lead – Mandatory.
• Proven track record in Backend development (Go, Python, or Node.js) – Mandatory.
• Significant experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or Monitoring engineering – Mandatory.
• Deep expertise in Cloud-native development (AWS/GCP/Azure) – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects in a high-scale SaaS environment.
