Algorithm Engineer

A publicly traded Israeli technology company specializing in AI and Computer Vision is expanding its elite R&D group. Founded by veteran entrepreneurs with a proven track record of successful high-value IPOs, the firm develops mission-critical AI systems for the defense sector, combat vehicles, and unmanned aerial platforms (UAVs).

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location near major train and light rail hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• End-to-End R&D: Leading the full lifecycle of algorithm development for Image & Video processing, from initial research and prototyping to production deployment.
• Perception & Spatial Intelligence: Designing and implementing complex algorithms for spatial understanding and autonomous decision-making.
• Hybrid Methodology: Utilizing a sophisticated blend of Classical Computer Vision and modern Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to solve real-world vision challenges.
• Algorithm Optimization: Optimizing high-performance models for deployment on edge devices and mission-critical hardware platforms.
• Multidisciplinary Innovation: Working on diverse domains including Object Detection, Tracking, Semantic Segmentation, SLAM, and Sensor Fusion.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Computer Vision algorithm development – Mandatory.
• Significant, recent experience in developing Deep Learning models – Mandatory.
• Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow – Mandatory.
• Proven track record in Image & Video processing and high-performance algorithm design.
