Optical Lab Technician for a Leading Defense Company

📍 Rehovot

Responsibilities:

• Assembly of development prototypes – optical, mechanical, and electro‑optical systems.

• Integration of sub‑systems, including mechanical‑optical‑electronic interfacing and system‑level testing.

• Setup and execution of laboratory test configurations and experimental setups.

• Performing environmental tests (temperature, vibration, drop tests, etc.).

• Working with optical fibers: termination, routing, and occasionally fiber splicing – a significant advantage.

• Writing assembly instructions for production teams and supporting transfer from development to manufacturing.

• Reading and implementing mechanical and opto‑mechanical drawings.

Requirements:

• Practical Engineer (Electro‑Optics / Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering) or B.Sc. in Physics.

• 3–5 years of experience as an R&D Technician / Opto‑Mechanical Assembler / Optical Technician.

• Experience working with optical fibers – strong advantage.

• Proficiency in reading mechanical and opto‑mechanical drawings.

• Good technical English.
