Java Team Lead

An innovative early-stage Cybersecurity startup is defining the security standards for the next generation of autonomous AI.

Founded by serial entrepreneurs, the company is building a pioneering Runtime Security platform specifically designed to protect Enterprise LLM deployments and Autonomous AI Agents.

Having secured significant Seed funding, the organization is rapidly scaling its elite engineering core.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location near major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Leadership & Management: Leading a distributed team of engineers across Israel and Europe, reporting directly to the CEO.
• Hybrid Engagement: Maintaining a 25% hands-on presence, focusing on critical code, architectural design, and high-level technical strategy.
• Core Development: Driving the development of the "Super AI Agent" platform using a dual-stack environment of Python and Java.
• AI Infrastructure: Architecting and implementing LLM-based systems, including RAG architectures, Vector Databases, and Agentic frameworks.
• Production Excellence: Taking end-to-end responsibility for backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure a production-ready, high-security product.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Software Team Lead (TL) – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Backend Development with a strong proficiency in both Java and Python – Mandatory.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML Stacks: Hands-on experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Vector Databases, and RAG architectures – Mandatory.
• Experience with Agentic Frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar).
• Extensive experience in Cloud-native environments and architecting scalable production systems.
• Ability to lead and inspire a cross-border engineering team in a fast-paced, high-stakes startup environment.
