Lead Systems Engineer

The Missiles & Space Division is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide engineering leadership for the integration and validation program of naval air defense systems (Gen-A) for international customers.

The naval air defense system includes a family of surface-to-air missile interceptors, launch systems, artillery, radars, communications systems, electro-optical systems, command & control, and ship interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering activities in the development, delivery, and validation of naval air defense systems.
• Lead the development of engineering disciplines in collaboration with leading defense companies and factories, including ELTA, Rafael, MALAM, TMM, and more, while managing the engineering matrix within the defense plant.
• Integrate and validate the naval air defense system with shipborne systems developed and supplied by world-class defense industries.
• Manage and oversee the engineering aspects of the project, coordinating interfaces with the customer.
• Develop requirement documents derived from customer contracts.
• Define system architecture and system components (System of Systems).
• Author primary system specifications.
• Lead system performance studies, development tests, and acceptance trials, including participation in at-sea testing aboard ships equipped with the systems.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Software Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering – mandatory
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering in complex System-of-Systems development projects – mandatory
• Proven ability to manage and oversee engineering teams in a matrix environment – mandatory
• Experience in authoring technical documents and performing system performance studies – mandatory
• Familiarity with weapon systems, missile systems, or air defense systems – significant advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English – mandatory
• Willingness to travel abroad – mandatory
