AI Engineer

An early-stage Israeli AI startup is redefining the software development lifecycle by building autonomous AI Agents designed to detect and resolve bugs.

Founded by industry veterans including a CEO from a top-tier Cybersecurity leader and a CTO with a successful track record of previous exits the company has completed a successful Seed funding round.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location near major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote.

Role Overview:

• Founding Impact: Leading the development of an advanced AI system from Proof of Concept (PoC) to a production-ready MVP.
• Hybrid AI & Backend: Architecting and implementing high-performance Backend systems in Python integrated with large-scale LLM frameworks.
• Agentic Systems: Developing innovative AI Agents focused on autonomous bug detection and automated remediation for engineering teams.
• Strategic Leadership: Taking a primary role in technical decision-making and strategic planning as the R&D department is being established.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Designing and deploying scalable, secure production systems on AWS.

Requirements:

• 7 years of overall Software Engineering experience – Mandatory.
• 4 years of professional experience in Python development – Mandatory.
• Extensive Backend & Production experience, with a proven track record of shipping high-scale systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes startup environment.
• High technical literacy in Cloud architectures (AWS) and modern software delivery.
