Senior Product Designer (Maternity Leave Cover 6-8 Months)

We are an innovative healthtechnology company developing advanced neuromodulation solutions that combine a connected medical wearable device with mobile applications and cloud platforms to support individuals living with neurological disorders such as depression and migraine. 

Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to temporarily lead design efforts during a 6–8 month maternity leave period. This role covers key responsibilities across Product Design, elements of Product Management, and Marketing Design, supporting ongoing development across mobile apps, desktop applications, and connected physical device experiences. The main focus during these months will be on our depression product and its correlated systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & UX 

• Lead end-to-end product design for mobile and desktop applications. 
• Produce detailed feature definitions, UX flows, and interaction specifications. 
• Conduct UX research, competitor analysis, and feature validation when needed. 
• Conduct user tests 
• Work with and maintain our existing Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability across products. 
• Deliver high-fidelity UI designs ready for dev handoff. 

Collaboration & Product Development 

• Work closely with the R&D team. 
• Assist with product-level decision-making, prioritization, and user experience definition. 
• Prepare clear design documentation, user stories, and functional requirements. 
• Support engineering teams through development cycles and provide design clarifications. 
• Conduct Dev handoffs. 

Support the marketing department

• Support Marketing with visual assets or design guidelines. 

Requirements:

MustHave 

• 5+ years as a Senior Product Designer or similar role. 
• Strong expertise in:  
• UX flows & feature definitions 
• User research & product analysis 
• UI design  
• Design systems & component-based design 
• Experience designing mobile apps (iOS/Android) and desktop/web applications. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously. 
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. 

Big Advantages

• Experience in medical devices, FDA-regulated products, or clinical environments. 

Nice to Have 

• Ability to support marketing design (campaign visuals, landing pages, product graphics).
