We are an Israeli book publisher developing and publishing titles for the international market. Our catalog includes fiction, nonfiction, and illustrated books translated and produced for readers worldwide.
We are seeking a talented Art Director to lead the visual direction of our books. This role combines creative leadership with hands-on design work. The Art Director will oversee the design team while also creating book covers and interior layouts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the visual development of our book list from concept to final production
- Design compelling book covers for international markets
- Create and oversee interior book layouts and typography
- Mentor a team of graphic designers
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality visual standard across all titles
- Collaborate closely with editorial and marketing teams
- Prepare and oversee files for print and digital publishing platforms
Qualifications
- Experience in book design or publishing
- Strong portfolio including book covers and interior layouts
- Experience managing or guiding designers
- Excellent typography and layout skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Preferred
- Experience working with Amazon KDP or international book markets
- Familiarity with print production and publishing workflows
