Job description

We are looking for a Product Manager who can bridge quantum physics, engineering, and software platforms to translate breakthrough research into scalable products. This role sits at the intersection of quantum hardware, control systems, and quantum software, driving the product vision and execution of Qarakal’s quantum computing platform. You will work closely with quantum physicists, hardware engineers, system architects, and software developers to define product strategy, guide system architecture, and deliver a robust quantum computer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Product Vision & Strategy: Define the roadmap for superconducting quantum computing and identify key application areas including optimization, cryptography, and AI.
• Technical Product Leadership: Define product specifications based on performance metrics such as qubit coherence, gate fidelity, and scalability.
• Platform & Developer Ecosystem: Guide development of software platforms, APIs, and SDKs to enable hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
• System Architecture & Integration: Coordinate development across qubit processors, cryogenic infrastructure, and control electronics.
• Program & Execution: Lead cross-functional teams from research to deployment while aligning development with business objectives.

Qualifications

Need to have:

• MSc or PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
• Understanding of quantum computing principles and superconducting qubit systems.
• Experience with complex hardware–software platforms and managing deep-tech products.
• Strong technical product management or system engineering experience.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with scientific computing, quantum software frameworks, or advanced computing systems.
• Proven ability to work effectively across research, engineering, and product teams.

General

Our offices are in Tel Aviv, and our newly renovated lab facility is located at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Givat Ram). For the foreseeable future you will mostly work in Tel Aviv.
