Description
Core Focus & Leadership:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for complex hardware, including semiconductors, custom mechanicals, PCBs, and EMS services.
- Cost & Negotiation: Lead high-stakes, multi-million-dollar negotiations. Drive substantial year-over-year cost reductions through competitive bidding, Value Engineering, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.
- Risk & Resilience: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks (geopolitical, obsolescence, single source) and manage key supplier performance using QBRs.
- NPI & DFC: Partner with Engineering and Product teams on vendor selection and Design for Cost (DFC) during the NPI process.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, ensuring compliance and strategic excellence.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Procurement Management within the high-tech industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in procuring complex, highly engineered components with deep manufacturing process knowledge.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts and achieving substantial cost savings.
- Expertise in formal sourcing methodology (RFX) and strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business, or related field.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
