Python Developer - Real time basketball video highlights

NEOJA is a SportsTech company building a new kind of interactive basketball experience that blends physical courts, smart technology, and real-time media production.

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to work on a unique system that automatically generates highlight videos from live basketball games. The system receives video feeds from multiple cameras, detects key moments, and produces short edited highlight clips with effects and sound.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building real systems that operate in a live environment and likes seeing their code become part of an exciting sports experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Python-based system that processes video streams in real time

• Generate automatic highlight clips from basketball games

• Integrate video layers, visual effects, and sound into the final clips

• Work with multi-camera video feeds and real-time processing pipelines

• Improve performance and stability of a system running during live gameplay

• Collaborate with the development and production teams

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python development

• Experience with video processing or real-time computer vision is a major advantage

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems

• Practical problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach

• Familiarity with tools such as OpenCV or FFmpeg is a plus

• Love for basketball is a big advantage
