Global IT Director

A stable and leading international industrial corporation in the metalworking industry is expanding its global IT operations team. The company specializes in the design and production of high-precision carbide cutting tools and advanced milling solutions used across diverse industrial sectors worldwide.

With a strong global footprint, the organization provides mission-critical infrastructure and support to internal users and manufacturing facilities across multiple continents.

The company's headquarters and primary industrial center are located in Northern Israel and operate an in-office work model.

Role Overview:

• Systems Administration: Joining the global team responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and support of AS/400 (IBM i) systems.
• Infrastructure Projects: Planning and executing system upgrades, technical migrations, and infrastructure projects to support global business continuity.
• Security & Governance: Implementing and managing high-level data security policies within the AS/400 environment.
• Technical Support: Providing Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal IT teams and end-users globally.
• Network & Connectivity: Ensuring robust system connectivity and performance across complex organizational networks.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in IT Administration or Technical Support (Tier 2/3) – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and enterprise connectivity – Mandatory.
• High proficiency in English (written and verbal) to support global operations – Mandatory.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects and perform complex system troubleshooting.
• Strong service orientation with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
