Global Director of IT & Information Systems -5565

A leading global company in the renewable energy sector is looking for a Global Director of IT & Information Systems to join its executive leadership team and lead the organization’s global IT operations.

This role is responsible for defining and executing the global IT strategy, supporting business growth through digital transformation, technological innovation, and robust information security practices. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex enterprise environments across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the global IT department.

• Define and execute the organization’s global IT and Information Security strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Build and implement multi-year IT roadmaps including digital transformation initiatives, system upgrades, and technology innovation.

• Manage global IT and cybersecurity budgets, including investment prioritization and financial oversight.

• Oversee core enterprise systems including ERP, HRIS, BI platforms, and AI-driven solutions.

• Develop and implement global information security and cyber risk management strategies across IT and OT environments.

• Lead IT governance processes and ensure compliance with global regulatory and security standards.

• Manage external vendors and partners across IT services, cyber, data, and automation.

• Lead complex enterprise-wide technology projects across multiple regions and business units.

• Work closely with senior leadership to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in Information Systems within a mid-to-large global organization – Mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation initiatives, including AI, BI, and infrastructure modernization – Mandatory.

• Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to collaborate with senior executives.

• Experience in defining and implementing cybersecurity policies and managing cyber risks.

• Experience working with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOX) – Advantage.

• Fluent English – Mandatory.

• Experience with Oracle ERP systems – Advantage.
