An early-stage Deep-Tech startup is revolutionizing the semiconductor industry by developing an AI-powered platform for rapid chip construction.

Their mission is to automate and accelerate the silicon design process, drastically reducing time-to-market for complex hardware. This is a high-impact, founding-team opportunity to bridge the gap between advanced machine learning and physical hardware reality.

The team currently works remotely, with plans to establish an office in Northern Israel as the company grows.

Role Overview:

• AI Problem Solving: Applying Machine Learning to non-trivial engineering problems, identifying where AI can drive breakthroughs and where deterministic logic is required.
• System Architecture: Defining clean abstractions that integrate AI models with physical silicon constraints.
• Model Development: Building applied ML systems for complex, constrained domains, ensuring model accuracy and generalization using synthetic or programmatically generated data.
• Strategic Impact: Playing a critical role in the foundational phase of the company, influencing both the technical roadmap and engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience building Applied ML systems for complex problem domains – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of model validation, accuracy, and generalization – Mandatory.
• Strong "System Thinking" with the ability to bridge AI models with physical hardware reality – Mandatory.
• Proven ability to solve non-trivial engineering problems using AI – Mandatory.
• Strong intuition for the tradeoffs between accuracy, interpretability, and real-world usability.
• Significant Advantages: Experience applying AI in Chip Design, EDA, or Physical Design.
• Significant Advantages: Experience with Reinforcement Learning for optimization problems.
