Project Engineer (Chemical Engineering) | Sderot (Israel) GreenGain Energy | Advanced Waste Conversion (SAF + Waste-to-Energy)

GreenGain Energy is hiring a Project Management Engineer (Chemical Engineering) for a high-impact R&D role in advanced waste conversion technologies. Our activities span:

1. SAF-IL consortium membership (waste-to-SAF pathways), and
2. Waste-to-Energy (W2E) developing a Zero-Emission on-site power backup and electricity supply system, generating energy from waste for installation at the point of use.

This role is combining hands-on, including experimental work on our company pilot system(s). The position reports directly to the CTO, and also project management as well as collaboration with leading Israeli industry and academic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Hands-on pilot experimentation: plan, execute, troubleshoot, sample, and analyze pilot trials.
• Project Management
• Drive innovative process development: optimize conversion performance, yields, emissions KPIs, and operability.
• Convert experimental results into scalable engineering recommendations (mass/energy balances, process parameters, technical documentation).
• Coordinate joint R&D and cooperation with partners including Bazan, Gadot, Ben-Gurion University, and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as coordination with leading development partners .

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (M.Sc. or higher degree preferred)
• 5+ years experience in R&D / innovative process development / project management
• Strong project execution / project engineering / project management experience
• Hebrew + English proficiency

Advantage

• Experience in thermal and/or catalytic pyrolysis (and/or related thermochemical conversion technologies)
