Compliance Officer

The Compliance team plays a key role in the company’s core operation, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory requirements and mitigating regulatory risk across jurisdictions. The Compliance Officer partners closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain the firm’s robust compliance framework, including translating regulatory requirements into system rules and working with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain deep understanding and proficiency of applicable regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions in which the company operates.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement controls, rules and systems to ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure the effective implementation and correct deployment of regulatory and compliance requirements into company systems and workflows.
• Monitor and keep up to date with regulatory developments globally.
• Handle regulatory filings and reports to authorities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, exchanges, service providers, external legal advisers and other third parties on compliance matters.
• Conduct compliance audits and ongoing monitoring.
• Conduct training on compliance-related matters.
• Develop and implement compliance procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk or a related role.
• A technical background or experience working with technical teams on the implementation of regulatory/compliance rules within systems (e.g., defining system requirements, translating regulatory obligations into technical rules) will be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience within the financial services industry – advantage.
• Familiarity with US and European trading regulations – advantage.
• Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) – advantage.
• Full proficiency in English with the ability to read and understand complex regulatory materials.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
