Are you ready to join a fast-growing, dynamic tech organization and take on a key role that combines development, core systems operations, and automation ?
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain critical core systems in Micro Focus, using Cobol and Python, including version updates, upgrades, and development of new processes
- Write Python scripts and tools to optimize processes and automate tasks
- Collaborate with System and Infrastructure teams within a Micro Focus environment
- Work with Git for version control, including branching strategy and pull request
- Engage regularly with Project Managers, Product Owners, other Development teams, and System/Infrastructure teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of Python development experience
- Cobol development experience – a strong advantage
- Proficiency with Git version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests
- Strong business acumen and deep understanding of the financial sector
- Willingness to support production issues outside regular hours as needed
