Resource Development & Fundraising Strategy Manager- Israel Division

Purpose of the Role

Lead the division’s fundraising and resource development strategy. Build strategic partnerships, expand the donor base, and strengthen long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Resource Development

• Build and manage relationships with donors, foundations, Jewish Federations, individual philanthropists, and other funding partners.

• Oversee ongoing partner stewardship in Israel and abroad, including communication, tracking, and reporting.

• Lead the annual fundraising and grant management plan.

• Launch and manage new fundraising initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.

Strategic Development

• Identify growth opportunities and diversify funding sources.

• Analyze philanthropic markets and trends to shape market-entry and expansion strategies.

• Tailor programs, messaging, and engagement for diverse audiences and regions.

Goal Setting and Performance Management

• Set annual fundraising targets by program and geography.

• Track progress using data systems and dashboards.

• Review performance and drive continuous improvement in fundraising processes.

Fundraising Materials and Communications

• Lead the creation of grant proposals, donor reports, and fundraising materials.

• Produce tailored collateral for donors, partners, and institutional funders.

• Coordinate with international fundraising teams and internal operational units.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising/ resource development. MUST.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).

• Proven experience with North American Jewish philanthropic partners.

• Background in business development or innovation is an advantage.

• Native-level Hebrew and English. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Knowledge and Personal Qualities

• Familiarity with The Jewish Agency’s mission and work is a strong advantage.

• High initiative and independent work style.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a high-pressure and complex structure, across departments and multiple stakeholders

Work Schedule

Requires occasional evening availability to collaborate with North American partners.
