Cyber Security Engineer

Amarel is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team

in the Northern region!

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of cyber defense systems in complex computing networks.

You'll work on hardening processes, creating security policies aligned with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices, while collaborating with IT, network, and application teams.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions in complex IT networks
• Harden systems including Windows/Linux operating systems and network equipment (switches, routers, modems)
• Deploy and configure advanced security tools (EDR, DLP, AV, WAF, FW, SIEM, PAM, and more)
• Write security policies based on project requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage
• Work on-site at client locations and testing facilities in Israel and abroad

Requirements

Must Have:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in establishing, operating, and planning complex IT networks in Enterprise and/or SME environments
• 2-3+ years of proven experience implementing cybersecurity tools in large IT networks, including:
• EDR, DLP, AV, WAF, Firewalls
• Whitelisting systems, SIEM solutions, TAPS
• Privileged Access Management, Vaults
• Full proficiency in IT infrastructure across Windows/Linux environments:
• Active Directory
• Operating systems
• Server hardware
• Network components
• Virtualization
• Cybersecurity systems
• Strong knowledge of network equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls
• Expertise in hardening operating systems and network devices
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Willingness to travel to client sites and testing facilities in Israel and abroad, including multi-day stays away from home
