Backend Team Leader

The company maintains two R&D centers in Central Israel (both in prime locations near major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Technical Leadership: The individual in this role will lead a high-caliber Platform Engineering team, taking ownership of scalable cloud solutions designed to accelerate HPC (High-Performance Computing) and AI workloads.
• Distributed Systems: Designing and implementing complex, distributed architectures within a Linux-centric environment, ensuring maximum performance and reliability.
• Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Driving the evolution of the company’s infrastructure using Python, Go, or Rust, with a heavy emphasis on Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• DevOps & GitOps Excellence: Overseeing the optimization of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support automated deployments.
• Observability & Scale: Ensuring system health and scalability through advanced monitoring and observability tools, including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Requirements:

• Substantial experience as an Engineering Team Lead, with a proven track record of mentoring and managing high-performing teams – Mandatory.
• Deep proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Go, or Rust – Mandatory.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and Ansible within large-scale production environments – Mandatory.
• Strong background in Linux environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with GitOps, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Proven ability to design and optimize complex CI/CD workflows and automated deployment processes.
