Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to take ownership of our entire technology landscape. This is a unique, hybrid role where you will be the linchpin connecting our corporate global offices, our AWS cloud environment, and our maritime edge computing (vessel VMs). You will not only ensure high availability and performance across these three tiers but also take the lead on fortifying our overarching IT security and compliance posture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS)

• Manage, scale, and monitor our AWS cloud infrastructure hosting the core ERP SaaS application and AI agent integrations.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness for all cloud services.
• Optimize cloud architecture for cost-efficiency, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with the DevOps/Engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

2. Vessel IT & Edge Computing (Maritime Fleet)

• Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VMs installed locally on global shipping vessels.
• Manage the unique challenges of maritime IT, including offline capabilities, low-bandwidth/high-latency data synchronization (satellite/VSAT), and remote patching.
• Standardize VM templates and automated deployment processes for new vessel onboarding.

3. Global Corporate IT Operations

• Manage local IT infrastructure across multiple global physical offices (networking, ISPs, firewalls, and hardware).
• Administer identity and access management (IAM), SSO, and corporate directories (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory).
• Establish global IT helpdesk protocols and ensure hardware/software provisioning for a distributed global workforce.

4. IT Security & Compliance

• Design and implement a comprehensive security strategy encompassing the Cloud, Corporate Networks, and Vessel VMs.
• Manage endpoint detection and response (EDR), firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust network access.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and maritime cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., IMO cyber risk management guidelines).
• Lead incident response protocols and security awareness training for internal employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, or DevOps, with at least 5+ years in a managerial or lead capacity.
• Cloud Expertise: Proven hands-on experience managing and scaling AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, etc.).
• Virtualization & Edge: Strong knowledge of hypervisors and VM management (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM) and experience managing remote servers/edge computing environments.
• Networking: Deep understanding of global networking concepts (SD-WAN, VPNs, Routing, Firewalls).
• Security: Solid background in cybersecurity principles, threat mitigation, incident response, and implementing security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Prior experience in the Maritime, Shipping, or Logistics industries.
• Understanding of satellite communications (VSAT, Starlink Maritime) and data sync challenges over intermittent connections.
• Experience supporting the infrastructure needs of AI/Machine Learning workloads or AI Agents.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
• Experience in automations (AI Based and low code tools).
