Procurement Economist

We’re Hiring: Procurement Economist | Netanya

A leading and fast-growing company in the retail industry is looking for a Procurement Economist to join a key role within the organization.

This position combines advanced cost analysis, budget control, and cross-department collaboration, with direct impact on the company’s financial performance and efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing control of purchase orders and verify full cost components.

• Calculate full product and raw material costs, including supplier pricing and additional expenses.

• Build, manage, and monitor the annual procurement budget, including variance analysis.

• Lead cost-saving and efficiency projects – identify opportunities, conduct financial analysis and track implementation.

• Prepare monthly management reports and material cost forecasts.

• Drive process improvements, automation and implementation of advanced tools.

• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses according to business needs.

• Guide internal stakeholders on procurement cost structures and cost allocation methodologies.

Qualifications

• BA in Economics

• 1–3 years of experience in an economic / financial role

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience with procurement or supply chain processes – advantage

• Experience working with SAP in procurement / costing – significant advantage

• Experience in food / beverage / retail industries – required

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
