Electro-Optical Systems Engineer

We are looking for a talented Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced, high-precision electro-optical measurement systems used in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

This role involves system-level engineering across optics, electronics, and physics, covering the full product lifecycle—from system definition and optical architecture design to integration, testing, and product support.

The position also includes supporting existing products, analyzing system performance, and developing customer applications for equipment manufacturers and semiconductor device producers.

Key Responsibilities:

System Definition & Architecture

• Define system requirements and write System Requirement Specifications, including close interaction with customers, agents, and suppliers.
• Design and analyze electro-optical system architectures, balancing performance, stability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Lead cross-disciplinary development activities involving optics, electronics, software, and mechanics.
• Maintain product BOM, integration documentation, and operational guidelines for manufacturing teams.

Development & Experimental Work

• Develop and integrate electro-optical subsystems and prototypes.
• Perform optical measurements, laboratory experiments, and system performance testing.
• Analyze experimental data and customer-provided measurement results.
• Investigate system failures and propose design improvements.

Integration & Customer Support

• Support system installation and technical activities at customer sites.
• Develop application solutions for electro-optical measurement systems.
• Support marketing and sales teams with technical materials, demonstrations, and customer interactions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in electro-optical systems development or optical metrology systems.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments involving optics, electronics, physics, and software.
• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electro-Optics specialization) or M.Sc./Ph.D. in Physics.
• Experience with laser systems, optical sensors, or precision optical measurement systems – advantage.
• High-level English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
