System Engineer – Drones Systems

A fast-growing startup in the field of autonomous aerial systems is looking for a RF System Engineer to take ownership of the end-to-end system view of advanced drone platforms.

In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between hardware, electronics, communication, and software teams, ensuring that all components integrate into a reliable, flight-ready system. You will lead system integration, validation, testing, and field experiments, identify system-level gaps, and drive continuous improvements from early development stages through real-world deployment.

This is a highly hands-on role, combining system thinking, lab work, and field operations, in a dynamic R&D environment.

Requirements:

• BSc in Mechanical / Electrical / Computer Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience working with complex, multi-disciplinary systems
• Proven experience in system integration, validation, and testing
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, preferably UAVs, robotics, or aerospace
• Understanding of communication systems and protocols (RF links, UART, CAN, Ethernet)
• Experience working with sensors, IMUs, GPS, and embedded hardware
• Ability to write and maintain technical documentation (system flows, interfaces, test procedures)
• Strong system-level thinking with the ability to identify gaps and drive solutions
• Comfortable working in lab and field environments
• Strong communication skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration

Advantage:

• Experience with drone platforms or autonomous systems
• Basic scripting or development experience (Python / C / C++)
• Experience leading field tests and experiments
